AP 11 reading 6: Don't Plagiarize, Don't Plagiarize, Don't Plagiarize (every English teacher ever)

You should know that any repetition of 3 words or more from a previous author's work must be cited appropriately.  In English class, that means MLA format.  In a formal speech, you need to tag the quote or paraphrase with a phrase like, in the words of a previous first lady, " . . . "
